Understanding Item Conditions

At Grit Stock, we sell a mix of new and genuine used surplus items. We believe in being transparent about the condition of every product we sell. Here's what our condition ratings mean:

Condition Ratings

🟢 New / Unissued

Brand new item, never used or issued. May still have original tags or packaging. No signs of wear.

🔵 Grade 1 – Excellent Used

Genuine used surplus in excellent condition. May show very minor signs of storage or light use, but no significant wear, damage or fading. Fully functional.

🟡 Grade 2 – Good Used

Used surplus with visible signs of previous service. May show fading, minor repairs, or light wear marks. Fully functional and serviceable. A great choice for practical use.

🟠 Grade 3 – Fair / Field Used

Heavily used surplus with clear signs of service. May have repairs, fading, or cosmetic imperfections. Structurally sound and functional, but not suitable for display or collection purposes.

Inspection Promise

Every item is individually inspected before dispatch. We will always note any specific defects or notable wear in the product description. If you have questions about a specific item's condition, contact us before ordering.
